Unconsciously, I have reached the age of 42 and been frequently bothered by fading memory recently, which awakens me to the realization that I should create some serious works before getting exhausted mentally in my old age. Amateur writer and photographer though I am, I have seldom produced any piece of work to my satisfaction. Comparatively, the profound interest in painting since childhood inspired by the curiosity about the world propels me to paint now and then during my spare time. Therefore, at the invitation of VEGA, I have illustrated the calendar of 2019 with four pieces of paintings which are not masterly but elaborately depicted. Thanks to the support and assistance from them, this art piece is a great start for me.

浑浑噩噩已过不惑二载，近年渐感记衰忆退，始觉需趁精力尚在为迟暮年留些痕迹以便病老痴废时有所咀嚼回味并寄希望那时可微解人生悔憾之痛，随即发现识字过少更莫谈文采因而无法书写，虽常握相机但自知技艺粗浅且洞察鲁钝因而不敢拍摄，唯有青少年时习得几日绘画且偶有复习，手心之能幸未遗失殆尽加之对些些见闻兴致犹存，恰逢友人不弃相邀，就先从熟悉且简单题目练起，作己亥年历插图四副，虽尽心竭力但碍于经验能力所限及琐事烦扰留有诸多遗憾愧疚。庆幸深得友人理解支持迈出这第一步，也算开得好端头。
